GEA Colby has completed and shipped another of its high quality medium speed infant formula fillers. This unit will shortly be installed at a new infant formula production plant in Europe.
The RCF10 filler uses Colby's proven, combined auger/vacuum filling technique to provide fast, reliable filling with unbeaten accuracy levels. This particular unit utilises both tare and gross checkweighers so that the control system will compensate for variations in empty can stock as well as provide gross weight feedback. Solid mechanical design combined with standard controls components ensures long term reliability and improved serviceability. User friendly controls mean ease of operation so start-ups are quicker and shut downs shorter.
