We are pleased to announce that GEA Colby Pty Ltd has acquired ADG Packaging of Kent, in the United Kingdom. ADG Packaging manufactures and markets the well known brands of Albro, Dico and Gravfill.
GEA Colby is a company of the Process Engineering Division of GEA Group; headquartered in Bochum, Germany. The new company will be known as GEA Albro and ADG Packaging Systems Ltd has ceased trading as of 13th November 2008.
As part of Process Engineering, GEA Albro will find many new growth opportunities and will be able to complement GEA Colby's strong position in the food and dairy market. Together, Colby and Albro will be the number one retail filling systems companies in their core market segments.
The acquisition will enable GEA Colby to strengthen their offering in retail filling and leverage off their existing technologies for high quality powder handling solutions.
The companies will focus on delivering a wider range of products and services to their clients around the globe as well as improved after sales support for both Albro and Colby equipment.
